New retailer, salon and restaurant to open at Briarwood Mall
Two new retailers and one restaurant are opening this spring and summer at Briarwood Mall, 100 Briarwood Circle in Ann Arbor.(Patrick Record | The Ann Arbor News)
ANN ARBOR, MI - A retailer, a salon and a fast-casual eatery started by University of Michigan alumni are preparing to open in Briarwood Mall in southwest Ann Arbor later this summer. Briarwood Mall, 100 Briarwood Circle, announced on Monday, May 14 the upcoming opening of The M Den's Victor's Collection expansion, a new 4,600-square-foot nail salon and a restaurant chain with locations in Ann Arbor and Wisconsin. Salads UP, started by UM alumni Robby Mayer and Max Steir in 2014, opens at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18 in the new Dining Pavilion near Sears. It joins other restaurants like California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle and Which Wich.
It is the third location for the fast-casual restaurant, with a menu that includes a selection of signature salads, wraps, homemade juices and cold brews and smoothies with prices ranging from $6.85 to $11.85. A familiar sight for Ann Arbor residents and visitors to the downtown district or University of Michigan events, The M Den is bringing The Victor's Collection to its Briarwood Mall location with brands that include Nike Golf, Tommy Bahama, Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines. Designated the official retail partner of University of Michigan Athletics, The M Den also plans to grow its women's section at the store located near Center Court and JCPenney. And Signature Nails and Spa is renovating a 4,600-square-foot space near Tricho Salon and Olga's Kitchen that is expected to open in July. It is Signature's second location and first in Michigan, which offers health and beauty products and services. "These new additions and expansions will be sure to please any guest looking for new a new shopping experience," said Denise Murray, director of marketing and business development for Briarwood Mall, in a statement. The statement also said T-Mobile would double its retail space at Briarwood Mall, with construction expected to be complete by the end of June.
